How many times have Jeremy Hunt or other senior DCMS figures met or contacted representatives of News Corp or BSkyB, since the 6 May 2010 - please provide the minutes of these conversations, particularly discussions regarding the BBC and Ofcom.

Thank you for your freedom of information request of 29 October - ref
158216. This read:

. How many times have Jeremy Hunt or other senior DCMS figures met

Under the Freedom of Information Act, public bodies are required to
provide information held on record at the time of the request rather than
to compile or investigate information.

We do not hold lists of phone conversations or record details of phone
conversations, but I am able to confirm the following meetings:

. Jeremy Hunt attended a dinner with News Corporation on 20 May.

. Jeremy Hunt held a formal introductory meeting with James
Murdoch on 28 June.

. Two senior officials from our Media Policy section met News
Corporation's Director of Public Affairs on 2 July for a general catch-up
meeting.

. Ed Vaizey had an informal lunch with Rebekah Wade of News
International on 12 July.

. Jeremy Hunt held a general `catch-up' meeting with BSkyB on 21
July.

I should also explain that DCMS officials would only hold details of
meetings related to DCMS policy objectives. Also, I have not included any
details of industry events where representatives of News Corporation or
BSkyB may have attended alongside other companies.

I can confirm that we do not hold any documents relevant to these meetings
that would fall within the scope of your request.
