Dear Victor,

I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information request, of
28^th June 2023, with regards to the processing of DBS applications at the
Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama (the College). 

For the processing of DBS checks, the College uses a third-party provider,
called First Advantage Europe Ltd, who are based at 2 St John's St,
Colchester CO2 7AA ([1]https://fadv.com). In this calendar year we have
processed 77 online checks at various levels. We have also processed 9
additional DBS Update Service checks using the DBS Update Service
portal: [2]https://www.gov.uk/dbs-update-service. 

It should be noted that in addition to checks for staff members, in line
with their role and responsibilities at the College, we also regularly
process checks for our students who are due to engage in community or
outreach activities as part of their learning.
