Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Please can you list the organisations that have provided placements on the Day One Support for young People Trailblazer through Maximus Employment and Training Ltd and Careers Development Group since the contract began?

Yours faithfully,

Tom Chance

Dear Department for Work and Pensions,

Please pass this on to the person who conducts Freedom of Information reviews.

I am writing to request an internal review of Department for Work and Pensions's handling of my FOI request 'Day One Support for young People Trailblazer'.

The information I requested, on behalf of Jenny Jones AM (London Assembly Member), was clearly in the public interest and not for the purposes implied by the refusal letter. The scheme mentioned has been set-up in conjunction with the Mayor of London, who said on its launch that:

"Placements will be carried out in a wide range of sectors including charities, social enterprises and voluntary organisations. All placements are expressly required to deliver clear benefits to the communities in which people taking part in the project live."

There is a clear public interest in testing that statement, and the only way this can be done is to examine the list of organisations providing placements. This is a matter of accountability and transparency in relation to public decisions and monies.

Your response showed no evidence of considering any points in favour of disclosure, such as the above.

Your reference to the case of DWP v Information Commission and Zola also concerns a separate scheme, not the e Day One Support for young People Trailblazer.

A full history of my FOI request and all correspondence is available on the Internet at this address: https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/d...

Yours faithfully,

Tom Chance
