Data underpinning RBWM boundary review.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Local Government Boundary Commission for England should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Local Government Boundary Commission for England,

You have just completed a 2018 review of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead local government boundaries. It is located here:
http://www.lgbce.org.uk/all-reviews/sout...

The comparison Table in paragraph 16 states that in 2017 :

The electorate size was 108,893
The number of Councillors was 41
The average number of electors per councillor was 2656.

and in 2023:
The electorate size will likely be 118, 838
The number of Councillors will be 41
The average number of electors per councillor will likely be 2898

However, according to RBWM the number of elected Councillors in 2017 was 57 (not 41).

and

Could I therefore request
(a) The document/s used to derive the entry (in table 16) that the number of RBWM Councillors in 2017 was 41.

Table 16 appears to be designed to allow a direct comparison between the current "average number of electors per councillor" and the predicted 2023 "average number of electors per councillor".
(b) Can you confirm this - or otherwise explain the purpose of the comparison in table 16 please.

(c) If Table 16 does contain errors in respect of the 2017 average, can the LGBCE clarify if it serves the purpose identified in answer to question (b).

Yours faithfully,

Andrew Hill
