data shared by Prof. Winston on pollution increase resulting from cycle facilities in London.

Greater London Authority did not have the information requested.

Dear Greater London Authority,

In a "tweet" dated 1 July 2016 Professor Robert Winston stated that he had "spent a whole morning in City Hall to discuss the data we gathered & to review the data that they had". This was in the context of a claim by him that "bike lanes have resulted in a measurable pollution increase 7 X EU limits in parts of London as traffic comes to standstill". The tweet in question can be found at the following URL.

The data shared by Professor Winston do not seem to have been made available elsewhere. Could you please therefore provide these data or give a link to where they may be found?

Yours faithfully,

David Kahn

Dear Mr Robinson,

Thank you for your reply ref: MGLA221117-5348.

I note that you have no record of a meeting with Prof. Winston on 1 July 2016 regarding this topic. As you will see from my request this was the date of his tweet stating that he had had such a meeting, not the date of the meeting itself. As far as I know, Prof. Winston has not indicated precisely when the meeting took place, only that it did and that he had shared data. It is his data that I am interested in.

Could I ask you please to check on what earlier date such a meeting occurred, and again to make the data available. To help narrow the search, Prof Winston did indicate that it was a morning meeting.

Please note also that your reply misspelled my surname in the salutation.

Yours sincerely,

David Kahn

Mayor of London, Greater London Authority

Dear Mr Kahn

Thank you for your further correspondence. I have asked the relevant teams
at City Hall if they recall a meeting with Professor Winston or hold the
information being referred and unfortunately no one can recall such a
meeting nor the data which is referenced.

It could be that the meeting occurred prior to May 2016 with a member of
the former Mayoral administration. Please note that we do not hold
information as held by the former administration nor as previously
mentioned relating to a non-GLA meeting in one of our public meeting
rooms.

I would also advise contacting TfL because they are the Mayor's transport
authority and is responsible for implementing the Mayor's Transport
Strategy, and for the day-to-day operational running of transport
services. You may wish to send a further request to TfL at
[1][email address].

Alternatively you may wish to contact Professor Winston directly at:
