Dear Home Office,

We hereby seek information regarding the Data Services and Analytics ("DSA") unit, described on the Digital Marketplace website (https://www.digitalmarketplace.service.g...) as "a centralised service within the Home Office's Digital Data and Technology's Enterprise Services, [...] at the forefront of efforts to re-imagine the departments relationship with data. It leads the way in professionalising our approach to the acquisition and analysis of data, promoting dynamic insight-led and evidence based decision making tools and techniques."

In December 2020, the Home Office provided 5 data protection impact assessments in response to a Freedom of Information request submitted by Mr Edin Omanovic (reference 60917), related to the DSA unit.

We now seek the following information:

1. Copies of any further data protection impact assessments made by the DSA unit, or the most recent data protection impact assessment relating to the unit if it has been updated since the version provided to Mr Omanovic in December 2020.

2. Copies of data protection impact assessments conducted by or in respect of the DSA unit's Data Integration Service and/or Data Matching Service, as described in this contract award notice: https://www.contractsfinder.service.gov.....

3. Copies of all data protection impact assessments performed in respect of Cerberus, a project under the Home Office’s DSA unit described by techUK (https://www.techuk.org/what-we-deliver/e...) as "delivering a single targeting and analysis capability of people, sea containers, fast parcels, post and freight".

4. A list of all the Memorandums of Understanding signed by or in relation to the DSA unit, as should be in place according to the Deputy Director of the DSA unit: "We use Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and data protection impact assessment processes to identify and manage data protection risks." (https://hodigital.blog.gov.uk/2022/01/31...) This should contain information on which organisations have signed these MoUs and when they were signed. Please also provide copies of all these MoUs.

If our request requires any clarification please do not hesitate to contact us. We are willing to limit our request should that be necessary and kindly request you identify what would assist you in being able to respond. Thank you for your time and we look forward to your response.

Yours faithfully,

Privacy International
