Data regarding climate change

We're waiting for Danek Sorensen to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Cherwell District Council,

I would like to make a request relating to climate change.

Please may I request a time series of all available data relating to climate change. Apologies for the vagueness of this request but a lack of publicly available data makes it difficult to know either the nature of the data you hold or in which format it is stored.

As a planning authority I would expect this to include data relating to emissions across the district, and each sensor to be capable of providing a history of measurements. If you do not have this information I would expect a reason as to why.

Yours faithfully,

D Sorensen

CherwellFOI,

Dear D Sorensen,

I refer to your request of 14 October 2019 regarding available data
relating to climate change. The Council’s response to your request is as
follows:

The Council monitors air quality across the District and Nitrogen dioxide
from road transport sources has been identified as the pollutant of
concern in Cherwell. This information is exempt under Section 21 of the
FOIA as it is information that is reasonably accessible via other means.
That is because the information is already publicly available on the air
quality page on the councils website. To assist a link is included below.

In relation to the councils own operations and activities please find
attached an abridged report detailing our greenhouse gas footprint since
2008.

In relation to the wider Cherwell District Emissions, this is also exempt
under Section 21 of the FOIA, as the latest information it can be found on
the central government website. To assist a link is included below.
