Dear Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council,

I would be grateful if you could provide me with information and
supporting documentation relating to the following questions about
the ability of oldham Council to comply with Data
Protection legislation:

a) Who is the individual - or individuals - charged with overall
responsibility for ensuring that oldham Council
policies are compliant with the Data Protection Act and for
ensuring that staff conform to those policies?

b) What specific expertise does the Legal Department have in
respect of providing advice on Data Protection?

c) What training has been provided to members of the Legal
Department on issues of Data Protection and when? May I have sight
of documentation?

d) What policies does the Council have in respect to frontline
staff members providing advice to the public on Data Protection
issues? May I have sight of documentation?

e) What training has been provided to frontline staff members in
Data Protection, both as to the substance of the Law, and in
respect of Council policies on the law? May I have sight of
documentation?

f) Does the Council have in place measures to audit either the
level of Data Protection knowledge held by individual members of
staff or their compliance with Council Policies on Data Protection?
May I have sight of documentation?
