Data on hate crimes perpetrated against "men who dress up as women"

We're waiting for H Macleod to read recent responses and update the status.

Dear Scottish Government,

In the Scottish Parliament on 2 February 2021, the Cabinet Secretary for Justice told MSPs:

"The Equality Network says that it is very likely that a perpetrator could later claim that they had no issue with trans women who are really transitioning and had a problem only with men who dress up as women without transitioning. It is therefore essential that cross-dressing people continue to be protected in the bill."

Please can you provide data on the number of police recorded hate crimes perpetrated against "men who dress up as women without transitioning" on the basis of their transvestism since the Offences (Aggravation by Prejudice) Act 2009 came into force.

Yours faithfully,

H Macleod
