Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to request the following data for candidates who enrolled in all of the law-related courses offered by your university in autumn 2019:

1. The average UCAS entry tariff achieved by law students who enrolled at your university having sat Scottish qualifications;

2. The average UCAS entry tariff achieved by law students who enrolled at your university having sat A-levels.

I would also like to request the average IB total score (out of 45) achieved by law students who enrolled in the following years. Please provide the average IB score for each year separately:

3. 2017;

4. 2018;

5. 2019.

I refer to your request for information (below). The University‘s response is given below.

1. The average UCAS entry tariff achieved by law students who enrolled at your university having gained Scottish qualifications;

2019 entry - LLB(Hons) Bachelor of Laws (4 year programme). The average UCAS tariff for new students who enrolled in 2019 is 217 points. This is for students holding Scottish Highers and/or Advanced Highers as their highest qualification on entry. Only the highest grade has been taken into account for any subject re-sits.

2. The average UCAS entry tariff achieved by law students who enrolled at your university having sat A-levels.

2019 entry - LLB(Hons) Bachelor of Laws (4 year programme). The University is unable to provide this information due to the small number of new students entering having gained A Levels. (1 student). (see note 1)

Request for the average IB total score (out of 45) achieved by law students.

3. 2017; No new students entered with the IB in 2017.

4. 2018; The University is unable to provide this information due to the small number of students. (1 student only). (see note 1)

5. 2019; The University is unable to provide this information due to the small number of students. (1 student only). (see note 1)

Note 1:
The University is unable to provide this information as the data is personal data relating to an individual. To provide you with this information would cause the University to breach the data protection principles in Article 5(1) of the GDPR. Therefore, the University is relying on Section 38(1)(b) of the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 to withhold this information.

Note 2:
We have provided data on all our law-related Full-time UG programmes that had intakes for the stated academic periods;
