Data of pot holes A23 Gatwick

The request was successful.

Dear West Sussex County Council,

I would like to make an application under the Freedom of Information Act for details relating to pot holes on the northbound A23 just after the Gatwick Airport terminal underpass in February 2018. This area had some bad pot holes which have recently been repaired.

Specifically, I would like to know when you first became aware of pot holes in the outside lane for normal traffic immediately prior to 13 February 2018 (i.e date and time of first report), when they were inspected and what grading they were given during the inspection, and when they were repaired. I would also like to know how many members of the public reported these potholes each day preceding the repairs being undertaken.

Please also advise whether the police requested an urgent repair as the pot holes had been coned off by the police.

Yours faithfully,

Chris Fulford
