Data of Non-UK/EU F100 Chemistry Applications and Admissions Handbook for Chemistry
Dear University of Oxford,
For the current (2024) and last application cycle (2023), I am requesting the following information about the applications to F100 Chemistry:
1. In the "Summary of Admissions Process for Chemistry – Information for
Applicants 2023-24" released on the website of the Chemistry Department, I learned about the shortlisting process and noticed it mentioned that "Each application was graded against agreed descriptors". Could you please detail the criteria/the so-called agreed descriptors? How are all aspects of the applicant's UCAS form and any further relevant contextual data specific to the application being translated into scores that form the interview shortlist of Chemistry?
2. The data on non-UK/EU applicants not taking IGCSEs during Pre-A Level studies being shortlisted in the 2023 and 2024 cycles by colleges.
3. The most recent Admissions Handbook for Chemistry or University.
Yours faithfully,
YJ Mei.
Thank you for your freedom of information request to the University of
Oxford.
Subject to any clarification required, the University will reply to your
request within the statutory deadline of 20 working days, starting from
the day after receipt of your request.
Yours sincerely
