Dear Westminster City Council,

We are very interested in your #Don'tBeIdle campaign and are urging Canterbury City Council to take similar action to address the serious air pollution in our city.

To this end, please furnish us with statistics from the campaign, namely:

1) how many fines have been imposed for engine idling in the City of Westminster since the campaign began;

2) how you are able to impose a higher fine (£80) than that stipulated by law (£20 under the Road Traffic (Vehicle Emissions) Regulations 2002);

3) how many air quality champions have been recruited and how they are used (eg do they have a rota system and a specific 'beat').

Yours faithfully,

Pat Marsh
