Data Breach & ICO Investigation

The request was successful.

Dear Salford City Council,

I previously raised an FOI request with you (visible at : https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/b...)

You refused to provide the requested information as the matter was being investigated by the ICO. I understand that that investigation is now complete.

Please would you now respond to the new request below:

You previously responded to another person's FOI request.
In your response you released in to the public domain personal, private and sensitive information.
You later realized this and had the post removed from Whatdotheyknow.

The link to that request is:
https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/g...

The Whatdotheyknow website now says:
"This message has been hidden. We have removed this response and prevented it from being viewed by the requester. The council has accidentally released a completed version of one of the forms requested containing highly sensitive personal information."
Many people will have seen your response before it was removed.

Please can you provide a copy of all internal and external communications (with names redacted) regarding this matter.

This will of course include your communication to the Information Commissioner’s Office informing them of the data breach, a copy of their report, and a copy of your communication to the person or people whose data was released in to the public domain informing them of your actions.

Yours faithfully,

Fred Cooke
