Dame Carol black's recent work and report on drugs in the criminal justice system
Dear Department of Health and Social Care,
17-11-2024
I trust this finds you well.
Under the [Freedom of Information Act/Environmental Information Regulations], I would like to request the following information:
I request that you provide details of Dame Carol Black's review of drug misuse and treatment in the community. Dame Carol was asked to assess the scope, quality, and effectiveness of treatment and recovery provision in prisons in England, and the support provided by the HM Prison and Probation Service regime. After a recent parliamentary question on November 6th, 2024 from Lord Carlile of Berriew, Baroness Merron advised that there were no plans for the government to publish this information.
Please contact me if you need me to clarify my request.
Yours faithfully,
Mr G. Strachan
