Damaged young girls

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Birmingham Children's Hospital NHS Foundation Trust should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Birmingham Children’s Hospital NHS Foundation Trust,

Of the 3 young girls aged 12-13 detained under the mental health act in Birmingham in the last 12 months:

1 how many are still detained?
2 which disorder were they diagnosed as having?
3 were they self harming?
4 were they receiving education whilst detained?
5. What is the longest length of detention?
6. Upon discharge were they sent to a Local Authority Care home, a foster placement or back to their families?
7. Did any abscond from the mental hospital during detention?
8. What special measure were used to prevent the children escaping?
9. How many appealed their detention?
10. How many used the advocacy service available?
11. How many were refused contact with birth parents?
12. Did you provide the information relating to their detention to Care Quality Commission and/or to Health Social Care Information Centre?

Yours faithfully,

Sophie
