Dear Ms Storr,

Thank you for your information request. Aberdeen City Council (ACC) has
completed the necessary search for the information requested. Our response
is now detailed below.

Could you please advise me of

1. length of roads in your control

997.4km Carriageway total adopted carriageway.

a) where mandatory speed limit is 20mph or less

The attached spreadsheet, 20mph roads, contains a list of all of the roads
subject to a mandatory 20mph speed limit, and the length of each section
of road. Please note that this does not include the roads which are
currently in the process of becoming 20mph.

b) where mandatory speed limit is greater than 20mph up yo and including
30mph

The majority of roads in Aberdeen which are subject to a 30mph speed limit
are Restricted Roads. These are roads with a system of carriageway
lighting furnished by means of lamps placed not more than 185m apart.
Attached is a list of roads which have street lighting, those not already
listed within the 20mph roads attachment, or within the classified speed
limit attachment, will be restricted roads. We do not hold a record of the
length of these roads.

We are unable to provide you with information on length of roads in your
control where mandatory speed limit is greater than 20mph up yo and
including 30mph as it is not held by ACC.  In order to comply with our
obligations under the terms of Section 17 of the FOISA, we hereby give
notice that this information is not held by us.

c) where mandatory speed limit is over 30mph.

The attachment classified speed limits contains schedules listing the 30,
40 & 50mph speed limits for classified roads within Aberdeen City. We do
not hold a complete record of the length of these roads but we do hold
details of the length of speed limit where part of the road is of a
different speed restriction.

We are unable to provide you with information on length of roads in your
control where mandatory speed limit is over 30mph as it is not held by
ACC.  In order to comply with our obligations under the terms of Section
17 of the FOISA, we hereby give notice that this information is not held
by us.

2. length of pedestrian only footways (pavements)

1994.8 km Footway – this is estimated and includes all footways, not just
pedestrian only. We do not know a true length.

We are unable to provide you with information on length of pedestrian only
footways (pavements)

as it is not held by ACC.  In order to comply with our obligations under
the terms of Section 17 of the FOISA, we hereby give notice that this
information is not held by us.

3. length of shared cycle/walkers paths

4. length of advisory (dashed white line) on road cycleway

5. length of mandatory (white line) on road cycleway

6. length of off road/dedicated cycleway (could be at road edge but level
change or kerb provides protection)

This information is not recorded by Aberdeen City Council.

We are unable to provide you with information on length of shared
cycle/walkers paths, length of advisory (dashed white line) on road
cycleway, length of mandatory (white line) on road cycleway, length of off
road/dedicated cycleway (could be at road edge but level change or kerb
provides protection) as it is not held by ACC.  In order to comply with
our obligations under the terms of Section 17 of the FOISA, we hereby give
notice that this information is not held by us.

7. Number of on street cycle racks

There are currently 322 publicly owned and publicly available cycle racks
within the Aberdeen City Local Authority area.

8. Number of on street car parking spaces.

Aberdeen City Council does not record the number of on-street parking
