Cycling and Injuries - Records of Admission

Simon Brown made this Freedom of Information request to Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Automatic anti-spam measures are in place for this older request. Please let us know if a further response is expected or if you are having trouble responding.

The request was successful.

Dear Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust,

I would be grateful if you could supply the following information for all admissions or treatment for injuries caused by cycling:

Numbers of patients presenting for treatment (on a per-month basis if possible) for injuries sustained by cycling between 1st January 2015 and December 31st 2019.

A breakdown of patients treated as out-patients (A&E) or admitted would be gratefully appreciated but is optional.

Any breakdown of type of cycling (recreational, road, commuting, competitive event, off road etc) would be gratefully appreciated but is optional.

Anonymous reporting is expected but nature of injury (fracture, dislocation, concussion, cut etc) would be a very useful addition the data, if possible.

Yours faithfully,

Simon Brown
