Cycleway 16 - updated assessment under TfL Cycle Route Quality Criteria/Cycleways Signing Guidance

Jonathan Rothwell made this Freedom of Information request to Transport for London This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

The request was successful.

Jonathan Rothwell

Dear Transport for London,

In the past few weeks, markings for Cycleway 16 (the route formerly promoted as "Quietway 6") have appeared on Capel Road E7 and Honour Lea Avenue E20. This suggests these parts of route have been assessed under the TfL Cycle Route Quality Criteria (see Cycleways Signing Guidance: http://planning.data.tfl.gov.uk/cycleway... and the tool itself: https://tfl.gov.uk/cdn/static/cms/docume... )

Under the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please give me:
1. If it exists, an updated assessment of C16 against the Cycleway criteria - i.e. the "Cycleway Signage Assessment", and completed New Cycle Route Quality Criteria tool spreadsheet; including any remediations identified to bring the route up to standards

2. if these assessments do not exist, an explanation as to why "Cycleway" branding was applied to parts of the route before it was up to standards

Yours faithfully,
Jonathan Rothwell
