Cycle lanes along A127
Dear Essex County Council,
Please can you send me details of cycle tracks alongside the A127 between Rayleigh Weir and the boundary with Southend (ie: to the east of Rayleigh Wier).
The A127 in Southend has shared pedestrian and cycle track (unsegregated cycle track) along both north and south sidewalks. Does this continue across the border into Rayleigh/Essex?
Yours faithfully,
David Batley

Dear Mr Batley
Thank you for your request for information, which was received by Essex
County Council on 31October 2012.
I am pleased to enclose the following information, which I believe
satisfies your request:
The A127 cycle path does continue both sides of the A127 from Southend
into Essex which are shown on the attached plans:
· A127 Rayleigh Weir.pdf
· A127 Rayleigh.pdf
The signing in some areas is not as it should be but the routes do
continue up to Rayleigh Weir where they run alongside the slip roads to
the roundabout above the A127.
Regards

I previously asked Rochford Council. They suggested asking Essex Council, who have responsibility for roads.
