CyberSecurity Training for Teachers

Please find the response to your request below:

Please can you confirm what cybersecurity CPD training is available for
primary school teachers in your district and if this is compulsory or
optional?
Bespoke cybersecurity training has been delivered to Headteachers, in
addition to the guidance and training available via Welsh Government’s
national Hwb platform. Online safety guidance is also provided as part of
the model safeguarding policy for schools.
There are different modules on HWB for on-line safety and related topics
which Primary staff are very much aware of.

If you are dissatisfied with the handling of your request, you have the
right to ask for an internal review. Internal review requests should be
submitted within two months of the date of receipt of the response to your
original letter and should be addressed to: The Monitoring Officer, Civic
Offices, Holton Road, Barry, CF63 4RU.
