Dear Kirsty Card

Thank you for your recent request for information under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000. The answer to your question is as follows:

 1. The Council does not have an extensive list of identified savings
proposals for the future.  The 2 areas that are relevant are public
conveniences were the majority of the service level has been
maintained but the Council has transferred some facilities to town
councils and introduced charging at others.  This is planned to save
approximately £270k.  The other significant service change currently
being consulted upon is a review of our waste collection and disposal
service.  As the current contract is due to finish in 2020, options
for potential changes to the service are being investigate, including
charging for garden waste and changes to frequency of collections.  No
decisions have yet been made on the final preferred service option.

 2. The services above have not been subject to cuts in previous years.

3    The Council has identified budget shortfall in future years, however
the details plans meet these challenges has not been finalised.

4    As 3.
