Dear Hertsmere Borough Council,

In view of the new proposed planning application 17/1950/FUL relating to temporary accommodation, I hereby request the following information in respect of temporary/emergency accommodation/housing:

Just to clarify, the meaning of 'temporary' accommodation/housing and 'emergency' accommodation/housing in this request are one and the same thing.

Please provide the following:

1. The total number of people currently placed by Hertsmere in 'bed and breakfast' accommodation and which area they are placed.
2. The total number of people currently placed by Hertsmere in emergency accommodation and which area they are placed
3. The total number of people awaiting emergency accommodation/housing by Hertsmere.
4. The total number of all properties/rooms/hostels/hotels/third party (not an exhaustive list) allocated for emergency accommodation divided into areas, if possible, or if not, just the total number.
5. The total number of homeless in Hertsmere
6. The total number of all the properties/rooms/hostels/hotels (not an exhaustive list) allocated for emergency housing currently sitting empty within Hertsmere
7. The total number of all the Hertsmere properties currently sitting empty divided into respective areas if possible, or if not, just the total number.
8. The total number of people outside of Hertsmere awaiting to be housed within Hertsmere.
9. A list of Hertmere's current third party emergency accommodation providers including the amount of properties available using this type of supply.

I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information request received
19th October

Your request has now been considered under the terms of the Freedom of
Information Act and/or Environmental Information Regulations and we are
able to respond as follows:

 

 

Your Request:

Our Response:

 

1.     Zero

2.     213 households. Placed in  Hertsmere, Harrow, Enfield, Welwyn,
Hatfield, Hendon, Palmers Green, Watford and Luton

     3.  5 Households

      4.  213. Cannot divide by area as this is a demand led product
subject to constant change.

      5.  161 households to whom the council owes the statutory homeless
duty.

      6.   Zero

      7.   Zero

      8.  32.

      9.  Steph & Phillips, Lustreplace, UK Rooms, EA Housing, Assett
Grove, Altwood Housing, Parse Security Systems.  Cannot advise how many
are available as the Council only approaches the supplier when a property
is     required.  We are not aware of all their stock at any one time.
