Current home office service level agreement
Dear HM Prison & Probation Service,
I would like to be provided with a copy of:
1. Any current service level agreement between HMPPS and The Home Office.
2. Any current policy that directs HMPPS staff to convey Home Office documentation to prisoners.
3. Any current documentation that directs HMPPS staff to convey Home Office documentation.
Yours faithfully,
Jordan Coombs
Dear HM Prison & Probation Service,
By law, you should have responded promptly and by the 24th August 2023 to my freedom of information request. I have not yet received a response. Please can you update me on any reasons why I have not yet received a response and, if possible, provide the information originally requested.
Yours faithfully,
Jordan Coombs
Dear Mr Coombs,
Thank you for your request and I apologise for the delay in replying.
Due to your request being jointly owned by HMPPS and the Home Office,
there is a need for both to work together and respond.
It became apparent after receiving your clarified request, that you also
sent the same request to the Home Office where it was allocated to a
different team to the one we had been in contact with, this was an
unfortunate clerical error. The request had been interpreted differently
to HMPPS, and Home Office colleagues have since responded with a
clarification request, which you have now received and replied to.
I can assure you that your request is now being reviewed by the correct
teams in both HMPPS and the Home Office, and it is clear what you are
requesting. We will work to provide you a response as soon as possible.
Thank you
HM Prison and Probation Service Briefing & Correspondence Team
