Current Fleet List and Location
Dear South Wales Fire Service,
I am writing to you to request a full up to date fleet list complete with type of vehicle, it's primary role and location it is based. I know this has been requested on previous occasions however having read through previous requests I do not feel they satisfy what I am looking for. I do not need vehicle reg plates, and would ideally like call signs however I understand if this is not feasible due to security restrictions.
Please could you limit the fleet list to the following districts: Newport, Monmouthshire, Caerphilly, Torfaen and Blaenau Gwent.

20 working days have passed since your acknowledgment of my request, however you have yet to provide me with the information I was asking for, or a reason why this would not be available. Nor have you advised me of why you have not met the 20 working day limit.

Thank you for this information, however I must clarify my request - I was hoping to have units grouped by station, rather than grouped by authority. I only wished to see stations / units within the 5 authorities. Please could you amend the data to show where each unit is based by station.

Thank you for your email. Having reviewed your initial request it was stated you required the units grouped by unitary authority. However, we will process this as a new Freedom of Information request if you wish, and look into the information to establish whether location by stations are able to be released.

Our response:
Please find a copy of the original information that we provided to you attached (original FOI ref: 136_1819).
We have undertaken an investigation into how your request was dealt with and can confirm that SWFRS replied to your original FOI request on 05/11/2018. Your request was then subsequently closed down. We acknowledge that there was a delay in getting the information returned to you and apologise for any misunderstanding or inconvenience caused.
Your request has now been re-opened following your later clarification and review request.
Please find our updated response attached relating to your request, which have raised for you again as a new FOI under reference number: 324_1819.
Whilst we have provided you with most of our fleet information, details of our call signs and specialist equipment have been omitted under section 24 (1) of the FOIA 2000 relating to national security. In providing the full information of our call signs and specialist equipment we may be putting our services and duties of protecting the public at potential risk –highlighting our capability and resources to respond to incidents. It is therefore concluded that the release of this particular information may prejudice national security which is exempt under 24 (1) FOIA.
