Dear Kent County Council,
Please treat this email as a Freedom of Information request.
I would like to receive a copy of the complete current local authority Register of Interest for all elected politicians in a machine-readable spreadsheet format such as a CSV file, including any additional information that may not be published on your website.
If you hold records relating to historical registers of interest for current and former elected politicians I would be grateful if you could also supply them.
I would also like to receive a copy of the complete current local authority Gifts and Hospitality Registers for all elected politicians in a machine-readable spreadsheet format, including any data that may not be published on your website.
If you hold historical records of gifts or hospitality received for current and former elected politicians I would be grateful if you could also supply them.
Lastly, if you hold a separate register of interests that records those declared at meetings, please also supply that register in a machine-readable spreadsheet format. Again, if you hold historical records of declarations that may not be published on your website, please supply details.
I would prefer not to receive the requested information in pdf format files.
If the requested information is published as open data, please could you supply the location where this data can be found.

Dear ýMs Tibbittþ
Thank you for your request for information made under the Freedom of
Information Act (FOIA) 2000, relating to the register of interest. Please
see the response below:
Please note that we are only able to supply PDF or paper copies (printed
from the website) of the Register of Interest forms and the Gifts and
Hospitality forms, which you have specifically requested not to have. If
we were to put all of this information into a spreadsheet it would
certainly exceed the appropriate limit of £450 (18 hours @ £25 per hour),
so under section 12 of the Freedom of Information Act, we are not obliged
to deal with this element of your request.
We do not hold this information in a list format. The Register of
Interests and the Gifts and Hospitality are forms that each Member
completes, and we would hold copies of the forms. All the current Member
Register of Interests forms, and Gifts and Hospitality forms are published
on our website and details of declarations of interests made at meetings
are recorded on the webcasts of these meetings. Here is the link to the
You will need to go into each individual page for the updated register of
interests and the Gifts and Hospitality Register for each councillor. Some
may not have Gifts and Hospitality forms on their pages as not all will
have received any.
Here is the link to the most recent webcast meetings:
The link to historical webcast meetings is also located on this page.
Each of the meetings will have any councillors declaring interests near
the beginning of the meeting. For example, if you look at Selection
and Member Services Committee on 27 February 2020, you’ll see the
declarations of interest is at agenda item no. 2
If you are unhappy with this response, and believe KCC has not complied
with legislation, you have 40 working days from the date of this response
to ask for a review. You can do this by following our complaints process;
details can be found at this link
on our website. Please quote reference 12471233.
If you remain dissatisfied following an internal review, you can appeal to
the Information Commissioner, who oversees compliance with both the
Freedom of Information Act 2000 and Environmental Information Regulations
2004. Details of what you need to do, should you wish to pursue this
course of action, are available from the Information Commissioner’s
website https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/, or you can phone the ICO
Helpline on 0303 123 1113.
