1. Any information regarding the maintenance and inspection schedule for the culvert at the rear of Central Street, Ystrad Mynach.

2. Details of any inspections and or work carried out on the culvert from Monday 10 February 2020 to date.

3. Details of any reports made to you from members of the public to inform you that the culvert was blocked and required attention.

FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT 2000 - INFORMATION REQUEST

 

Thank you for your request for information received on 5 March 2020. We
have considered your request and enclose the following information -

 

(1) Any information regarding the maintenance and inspection schedule for
the culvert at the rear of Central Street, Ystrad Mynach.

 

Our reference for the culvert at the rear of Central Street, Ystrad
Mynach, is CCBC Structure No. 885 Central Street Culvert.  The structure
is considered to be a confined space culvert and is subsequently inspected
on behalf of CCBC once every two years by appropriately trained
consultants.  The last confined inspection was undertaken on 19^th October
2018, therefore the next inspection is due circa October 2020.

 

(2) Details of any inspections and or work carried out on the culvert from
Monday 10 February 2020 to date.

 

No inspections or work has been carried out on this culvert between Monday
10 February 2020 to date albeit we are currently in the process of
undertaking specific inspection of our bridge stock which are near main
rivers / watercourses subsequent to storms Ciara (7th - 16th February
2020) and Dennis (13th - 19th February 2020).

 

(3) Details of any reports made to you from members of the public to
inform you that the culvert was blocked and required attention.

 

The attachment contains service requests for this location which have been
received by our Highway Operations Group and Land Drainage department.

           

We supply this information based on your original request.  If this is not
