Dear Scottish Government,

Please provide any document laying out the Lord Advocate's position on whether proposed Culpable Homicide / Corporate Homicide legislation in the Scottish Parliament is within the legislative competence of the Scottish Parliament.

It is my understanding that an opinion was written by Lord Boyd of Duncansby, when he was Lord Advocate, that such legislation was outwith the legislative competence of the Scottish Parliament. If no document can be provided, please confirm whether that is the case.

Please treat this as a Freedom of Information Request,

Yours faithfully,

Jonathan Deans
