CTMUA, CSAT, and Interview scores for computer science applicants.

The request was partially successful.

Dear St John's College, Cambridge,

Under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, I kindly request some raw data from you regarding university applications for the 2016/2017 applicants for the G400 course.

- The CTMUA scores of each applicant and whether they were pooled and/or got an offer.
- The CSAT scores of each applicant and whether they were pooled and/or got an offer
- The interview scores of each applicant and whether they were pooled and/or got an offer

Your's faithfully,
Sam Carlson

Dear St John's College, Cambridge,

Apologies but I made a mistake in my initial request, I meant to request data for the 2019/2020 application cycle, not the 2016/2017 application cycle.

Yours faithfully,
Sam Carlson

Freedom of Information Officer, St John's College, Cambridge

Dear Sam Carlson,

Thank you for your Freedom of Information request concerning G400 Computer
Science applicants in the 2019/20 admissions round at St John’s College.

To comply with your precise request would require the processing of the
personal data of individual applicants for a purpose other than that for
which it was obtained and would therefore conflict with the Data
Protection Principles. However, we hope the following information will
prove useful.

For applicants receiving an offer (of which there were 4):
CTMUA section scores ranged from 6.7 to 9.0.
CSAT scores ranged from 56.61 to 98.45.
Average interview scores ranged from 6.8 to 9.1.

For pooled applicants (of which there were 11):
CTMUA section scores ranged from 5.4 to 9.0.
CSAT scores ranged from 10 to 94.47.
Average interview scores ranged from 6.1 to 8.5.

For unsuccessful applicants (of which there were 20):
CTMUA section scores ranged from 1.1 to 8.1.
CSAT scores ranged from 13.33 to 54.33.
Average interview scores ranged from 5.1 to 8.3.

If you are dissatisfied with my response you may seek an internal review
in writing setting out the grounds for review. It will be dealt with by a
College Officer. Should you not be satisfied with the outcome of the
review, you will have a right of appeal to the Information Commissioner by
writing to: Information Commissioner’s Officer, Wycliffe House, Water
Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Yours sincerely,
