Dear Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal (Scotland),

On Tuesday 17 December 2013 it was reported that police in Shetland have confirmed that two men, aged 60 and 59, are to be reported to the procurator fiscal in Lerwick for animal cruelty offences. They found one Shetland pony had died and a second one badly neglected.
The press report was made ten days after the alleged offences came to light on 7 December.
Who were these men and what action has been, or is being taken?

Yours faithfully,

Stuart Hill
