Crown Street, Brentwood Pedestrianisation

Nick Howard made this Freedom of Information request to Essex County Council

This request has been closed to new correspondence from the public body. Contact us if you think it ought be re-opened.

The request was successful.

Dear Essex County Council,

Can you please inform me of the costs to pedestrianise the small
area of Crown Street which has recently been done?
Was an impact survey carried out as to impact on local residents?

Are there plans to change signage at either end of Crown Street to
enable drivers to not enter unless for access reasons?
Would these signs be at a viewing level sufficient for car drivers
to view?

What policy does the council have regarding signage of new road
layouts, in particular the height of such signs and visability of
signs?

Also, I would like to know, for the shopkeepers that are to put on markets and evening shopping/live music events, what is the time limits for these to stop? E.G. for music to be turnt off due to residents.

Yours faithfully,

Nick Howard
