Dear Ms Nickson

Thank you for your e-mail dated 6 December. Unfortunately, this is still not sufficient for us to identify the material you are seeking. I would be grateful if you could specify the topic you are interested in, or to know if you are asking about specific guidance - for example, are you requesting guidance we issue to the police, or to our own staff? I can advise you that we have published a significant amount of information on our website - www.copfs.gov.uk. You can view there our Publication Scheme and publications which are in the public domain.

Your sincerely

The revised request is here https://www.whatdotheyknow.com/request/s...

I used the word Directive and not Circular and apparently despite giving date and number the Crown Office just didnt have a clue what I was on about.

Luckily this meant I had to research thoroughly and I read the Magic Circle Affair Report about homosexuality and perversion of justice and child abuse web in the establishment ( or lack of one obviously as the establishment investigated it) and I saw my mistake.

Apparently the finest legal brains in Scotland could not fathom out my little error.Still I should be grateful to them.

This report downloads here. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B0NRqCqy...
