Dear Mr Carse
Your information request (1074)
Further to your email of 21 March 2019, I am writing in response to your
request for information which has been considered under the Freedom of
Information Act 2000 (FOIA). I should explain that some of the information
you have requested is available elsewhere; as information available via
another means is exempt in line with section 21 FOIA, I have provided
details of how you can access it below.
First of all, you have asked for information on all the foreshore owned by
the Crown Estate in the area of Strangford Lough. We do hold information
relevant to this part of your request. However, foreshore owned by the
Crown Estate can be viewed on the Crown Estate Foreshore and Estuary Map,
which is available online at the following link:
[1]https://crownestate.maps.arcgis.com/apps...
You will need to navigate to the area in which you are interested and you
will see Crown Estate assets highlighted in purple.
Secondly, we do not hold information on private ownership but this may be
available from the Northern Ireland Land Registry at the following
address:
[2]https://www.nidirect.gov.uk/articles/sea...
Finally, although we do hold some information relevant to this part of
your request, leases to the Department of Environment, Wildfowl and
Wetlands Trust & National Trust will be registered and accessible from the
Northern Ireland Land Registry.
If you are not satisfied with this response, you may complain or appeal
our decision, which will be investigated through an Internal Review. If
you are not content with the outcome of the Internal Review, you have the
right to refer your complaint directly to the Information Commissioner’s
Office (ICO) for a decision (contact details are available at:
[3]www.ico.org.uk). Please note that the ICO will usually expect you to
have first exhausted our own complaints procedure before raising your
concerns with them.
Yours sincerely
