Criteria for organ allocation

The request was successful.

Dear NHS Blood and Transplant,
We are currently tudying for Advanced Higher Religious, Moral and Philosophical Studies, focusing on organ transplant allocation.
Please can you give us a detailed description of how organs are allocated to patients. If a computer algorithm is used, what variables are entered and what weight are they given?
Is this applicable to all countries in the UK i.e including Scotland?

Yours faithfully,

All pupils studying RMPS.

Dear Customer Services,

I was not satisfied with the link i was directed to. I did not find the information i requested concerning how organs are allocated, instead i received a link to what organs were donated (in different years) and the status of their donater etc.
Please could you refer to my previous request and respond more appropriately.
