Dear Sir or madam,
Thank you for your email enquiry of the 22nd July 2022.
Your request for information will be handled in accordance with the
Freedom of Information Act 2000.
Your reference number is FOI 2222, should you require any further
information.
We will provide you with a full response with 20 working days.
However, with regard to your question, the Disclosure and Barring Service
(DBS) would not know who is currently unemployed; we have no involvement
or remit into the individual recruitment practice of any employing
organisation, hence we would not know who gained employment/was not
employed after a disclosure check.
We can provide the number of applications processed and certificates
dispatched by the age of applicant at the time of submitting the
application. We could also advise how many of these certificates were
issued clear or containing information. Can you also provide a date range
of when you would like this information i.e. The last calendar year, the
previous 12 months etc?
On receipt of this information we can commence with your request.
With kind regards,
The FOI Team.
