Communications (CCC), Committee on Climate Change

Dear Common Law Jurisdiction,

Thank you for your email requesting an internal review of the CCC's handling of your FOI request 'Criminal Records'.

Firstly, we would like to apologise that we have not responded to your request within 20 working days.

Our website states that all Freedom of Information (FOI) requests should be submitted to: [CCC request email]. Please see: https://www.theccc.org.uk/about/transpar.... Unfortunately, your request was incorrectly submitted to: [email address].

Although you received an automated response from [email address] when your FOI request was submitted on 16 January 2017, we had instructed our IT provider to close this mailbox permanently on 28 November 2016. For this reason, mail arriving at [email address] since 28 November 2016 has not been monitored.

Now that we have received your Freedom of Information request, we will consider your request and respond within 20 working days.

Our Head of Corporate Services has reviewed this case and is content that the circumstances explaining the delay, as described above, have been satisfactorily addressed to prevent a similar situation arising in future.

If you are not content with the outcome of this internal review, you have the right to apply directly to the Information Commissioner for a decision. The Information Commissioner can be contacted at: Information Commissioner’s Office, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire, SK9 5AF.

Kind regards,
