D McIntyre made this Freedom of Information request to Scottish Police Services Authority

This request has been closed to new correspondence. Contact us if you think it should be reopened.

Response to this request is long overdue. By law, under all circumstances, Scottish Police Services Authority should have responded by now (details). You can complain by requesting an internal review.

Dear Scottish Police Services Authority,

This request is centred around the Scottish national computer system commonly referred to as the CHS. I understand that the current system in place is referred to as CHS2 and when referring to that system I will use the term CHS2 and when referring to its predecessor I shall refer to it as CHS1.

Please provide details around how the transfer of data (specifically an individuals criminal record) is undertaken from CHS2 to the PNC. Is this an automatic or manual process? How is an error in transfer detected?

Please provide details around how the transfer of data (specifically an individuals criminal record) was undertaken from CHS1 to the PNC. Was this an automatic or manual process? Did the process change at any specific time, for example from a manual to automated process? How was an error in transfer detected?

Please provide information around all relevant guidance pertaining to transfer of data (specifically a child's criminal record) from CHS2 to PNC, specifically around what type of information gets transferred regarding disposals by children’s hearings under the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968.

Please provide information around all relevant guidance that pertained to transfer of data (specifically a child's criminal record) from CHS1 to PNC, specifically around what type of information was transferred regarding disposals by children’s hearings under the Social Work (Scotland) Act 1968.

Yours faithfully,

D McIntyre
