Further to your request below, I believe that your request would be better directed to the Devon & Cornwall Police (contact details available on the 'what do you know' website) since it is the Devon & Cornwall Police Professional Standards Department that handles complaints against employees of the Devon & Cornwall Police and they are likely to hold the information you are requesting.
Please see the fact sheet on our website that explains what complaints the Devon & Cornwall Police Authority deal with.
The Police Authority has an oversight role in terms of complaints handled by the Devon & Cornwall Police Professional Standards Department and does this by committee. Therefore the information held by the Police Authority about police complaints can be found in the meeting papers of the Professional Standards and Complaints Committee, the most current of which are on our website. http://www.dcpa.police.uk/Meetings/Commi... and archived papers at: http://www.dcpa.police.uk/meetings/pages...
If you would like me to refer your request to the Devon & Cornwall Police please let me know.
Thank you for your response, however i did not ask for your personal beliefs, what i asked for were factual figures regarding criminal complaints against employees and agents of devon and cornwall police, which i understand you should hold records of, and although the links you provided are of use in esculating my thus far ignored complaint/report of criminal behaviour by employees of devon and cornwall police, they do not actually answer any of the questions i raised.
Therefore would you please clarify:
do you hold/have access to these records or not?
if yes why have you failed to give details as requesed by valid lawfull freedom of information request?
if you do hold this information then kindly respond properly with the answers to the previously asked questions rather than attempting to 'pass the buck'
Please also do pass on this request to devon and cornwall police who i trust will hold the same records and not in any way have adjusted or misrepresented the figures
I have notified you of the information that the Devon & Cornwall Police Authority holds and you have access to it on our website.
I can forward your request to the Devon & Cornwall Police who hold the information you require.
so far you have failed to directly aswer every question put to you under this freedom of information request
i believe this puts you in breach of trust as you are clearly trusted by the public to do your job properly and provide thi information requested of you.
i shall therefor put the next 2 questions in as simple and straight forward a way as possible, and in return i am trusting you to give a very simple yes/no answer
1: do you have access to the information i requested
2: will you provide the answers to the questions i have asked here for inspection by the public or not?
