I refer to your request for information from Greater Manchester Police Authority received by email on the 13 March 2012. This request has been handled under the Freedom of Information Act 2000.

I am writing to inform you that the information you are seeking to obtain is not held by Greater Manchester Police Authority. Greater Manchester Police Authority is a separate organisation from Greater Manchester Police force and does not hold statistics relating to the number of crimes logged with GMP over the past year or the nature of the crimes committed or the nationality and ethnic group of those arrested in connection with crimes.

However it is possible that Greater Manchester Police may hold some or all of the information you require. I would recommend that you resubmit your request to the Greater Manchester Police Freedom of Information team at the following email address:
