Dear J Thomas
Re your request (reference number above):
Would you please supply me for the statistics for crimes committed in
South Yorkshire Police region by foreign nationals.
Please could you clarify the following point(s): -
Your request for information was forwarded to us as the information you
are requesting is held by South Yorkshire Police rather than the Police
and Crime Commissioner. To allow me to progress with your request I
require some clarification :
1. Can you advise the date parameters required
2. Do you want a breakdown of district ie Barnsley , Sheffield,
Doncaster and Rotherham or the figures for SYP as a whole.
3. What specific stats are you requiring? Specific Crime Offences
totals or overall numbers .
Any information you can provide will assist us collating the data.
We use our Crime Management System to retrieve this type of data, the
Nationality of an offender is not a mandatory field so may not give you
the total information you require.
Please forward your clarification to South Yorkshire Police as this
request will be ‘stopped’ on our database until this has been received.
Once we have received clarification, your request be considered and you
will receive a response within the statutory timescale of 20 working days
as defined by the Act, subject to the information not being exempt or
containing a reference to a third party. In some circumstances South
Yorkshire Police may be unable to achieve this deadline. If this is likely
you will be informed and given a revised time-scale at the earliest
opportunity.
There may be a fee payable for the retrieval, collation and provision of
the information you request. If this is the case you will be informed and
the 20 working day timescale will be suspended until we receive payment
from you. If you choose not to make a payment then your request will
remain unanswered.
Some requests may also require either full or partial transference to
another public authority in order to answer your query in the fullest
possible way. Again, you will be informed if this is the case.
Yours sincerely
