Crime statistics
Dear Hertfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner,
Over the passed five years has the serious crime statistics increased over the years in Hertfordshire?
If so, in what area has it the most and the least?
Yours faithfully,
Chantel
Dear Miss Nzegwu,
I write in response to your Freedom of Information request below dated 13 November 2018 which has been logged within the Police and Crime Commissioners office with reference FOI034/18.
In response you are asking for an opinion on whether serious crime statistics have increased in Hertfordshire. You have not defined what you mean by serious crime and asking for an opinion is not a valid FOI request.
However I should also explain that statistics relating to specific crimes within Hertfordshire are not held by the Police and Crime Commissioner's office. You will need to redirect your enquiry to Hertfordshire Constabulary which can be done by emailing [email address]
If you disagree with the decision in respect of your freedom of information request or are otherwise unhappy with how the OPCC has dealt with your request in the first instance you may request a review by Gavin Miles, Deputy Chief Executive at the office address at the foot of this response or by e mail at [email address]
Should you remain dissatisfied with the outcome you have a right of appeal under S50 of the Freedom of Information Act to appeal against the decision by contacting the Information Commissioner, Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow SK9 5AF.
Kind Regards
