Dear Greater Manchester Police,

I am not requesting personal data and to suggest I make a subject access request is ridiculous, as only the person who's data it is, can request that. As I have committed no crimes, it cannot there be my data.

Secondly all police crime statistics released by GMP are in the public domain mainly on your web site, so I don't understand that point ether.

In order to get this information without having to take this matter further, can I suggest some modification to my request.

A) If we remove point number three on my request, which is the only point which relates to individuals, can you now provide the information requested in points 1) & 2)

B) GMP have published a Crime Impact Study detailing all recorded crime within a 500m of my house, (which is where they are moving the facility in question, next door to) so can you do the same for crime and incidents within 500 m of Boothdale Lodge.

C) Failing that, can you provide the crime and incident data for the postcode M34 5PZ, and all the postcodes which surround this postcode.

Crime statistics are not personal data, as they are not identifiable to any individual and if they were, GMP would never be able to release any crime data ever. So please can you more helpful and proactive in advising, just how you can evidence this and at least provide the data GMP have already set the president for, in there Crime Impact Study for my location.

Yours faithfully,

A. SHACKLETON

Dear Mr Shackleton,

Can I please ask you for clarification with regards to your FOI Request
below. We would be unable to provide crimes and incidents within a 5oom of
Boothdale Lodge. We can provide the number of crimes and incidents
recorded in the beat(s) surrounding M34 5PZ. Alternatively, you could us
the [1]https://www.police.uk/ website which allows users their own user
defined area. Can you please advise how you want us to proceed with your
request which will be put on hold until we have received a response from
you.

Dear Pamela

Following on from your request for clarification, I have detailed my request as simply as possible below.

On the 23/04/19, GPM issued a Crime Impact Statement on the proposed building project opposite my house, see link to document :

https://plandocs.tameside.gov.uk/anitepu...

In the Crime Statistics & Analysis section 2.4 of this document, it relates to crime committed within 500m of the new site. The postcode that will have been used for this site is OL6 6TX.

As this precedent has obviously been set by yourselves, proving that this evidence format is available and accessible, can you please do me the courtesy of providing me with the crime and incident figures, including crime types committed within 500m of the old site. The postcode to be used for this exercise is M34 5PZ, for the last recorded 12 months.

If this is still not clear, please get back to me as a matter of urgency.

Yours faithfully

A. SHACKLETON
