Crew Levels
Dear London Fire Commissioner (London Fire Brigade),
Please could you provide me with the following information about crews of appliances.
Number of crew per station (e.g. 9 Station X - 9 Firefighters, 2 Crew Managers, 1 Watch Manager)
Station Crewing Type (e.g. Retained, Wholetime etc)
What, if any vehicles are cross crewed with another appliance.
Normal crew levels before a vehicle dispatches (e.g. 5 crew on a pump, 1 on an ALP, 2 on a WrC, etc)

Please do accept my apologies for the delay in response. I would like to direct you to some readily available information that can be found on the LFB website in relation to the LFB station crew structure:

Please note, the LFB do not have any retained operational staff, in London, all station-based operational staff are employed as whole (full) time firefighters.

Normal crewing is defined as follows by reference to the type and nature of appliance and calculated on a station by station basis:
Pump Ladder = 5
Pump = 4
Turntable Ladders = 2
Hydraulic Platform = 2
Aerial Ladder Platforms = 2
Fire Rescue Unit = 4
Fireboat = 5
Operational Support Unit = 1
Fire Investigation Unit = 1
