1. Was section 106 money received from the St Josephs Coleview site redevelopment used for the refurbishment of Covingham Square?

2. If the answer to question 1 is, Yes, please inform me of the total amount of the section 106 money from the St Josephs Coleview site redevelopment that was used for the refurbishment of Covingham Square?

3. Did Swindon Borough Council contract the works to Swindon Contract Services or any other contractor? Please name other contractors?

4. Please give dates of commencement and completion of the refurbishment works?

5. Who signed of the works as completed and on what date?

6. What was the total cost of the contract to refurbish Covingham Square?

7. Was the contract to refurbish Covingham Square put out to open tender?

on 2nd March 2011, concerning Covingham Square Refurbishment.

I enclose for your attention, the following information.

Question 1) Was section 106 money received from the St Josephs Coleview
site redevelopment used for the refurbishment of Covingham Square?

Answer 1) No

Answer to Question 2) Not applicable as answer to 1 was No.

Question 3) Did Swindon Borough Council contract the works to Swindon
Contract Services or any other contractor? Please name other contractors?

Answer 3) Swindon Borough Council contracted the works to Swindon
Commercial Services.

Question 4) Please give dates of commencement and completion of the
refurbishment works?

Answer 4) Instructions for phase one were given at the end of April 2010,
and phase one works was completed by the end September 2010. Instructions
to proceed for phase two were given at the end of October 2010 and the
works were completed 26th February 2011.

Question 5) Who signed off the works as completed and on what date?

Answer 5) Sophie Birch and Steve Langley (Swindon Capita Partnership),
Barry Smith (from BDG Interiors Limited - Swindon Commercial Services' sub
contractor for the works) & Stephanie Tully (Swindon Commercial Services)
agreed practical completion on 28th February 2011.

Question 6) What was the total cost of the contract to refurbish Covingham
Square?

Answer 6) Total cost of all works £13,315.94.

Question 7) Was the contract to refurbish Covingham Square put out to open
tender?

Answer 7) The work was categorised as core basket and, therefore, did not
go out to open tender.

Question 8) Reference the section 106 money from the St Josephs Coleview
site redevelopment, have you had any communications with the following
Covingham and Nythe Ward Councillors? Cllr Dale Heenan, Cllr Glen Smith,
and Cllr Richard Hurley.
