1) Transport for London:

The following bids have been made to the TfL Streetspace fund. We have
currently been awarded funds for the 2 metre school makings and await
feedback on all other bids made.

2) Department for Transport (or other government departments):

The Borough made a successful £100k bid to the Department for
Transport Emergency Active Travel fund for improvements to routes from key
areas in the north of the borough into Uxbridge Town Centre. The routes
can be found on the Council webpage

currently working on the areas on these routes where funding will be
focused.  

 

We are also seeking out and making bids for other funds as and when these
become available. 
For temporary walking and cycling projects as outlined by Grant Shapps MP
Secretary of State Transport last month.

Please provide links to cabinet (or similar) approvals and whether local
MP's and/or councillors have been contacted for their (or their
constituents) suggestions.  

All the bids have the support of the Leader of the Council and the Cabinet
Member for Planning and Transportation. No formal reports have been
produced, agreement was sought via internal briefing notes and via Officer
Meetings, therefore no links can be provided to such documents. Many local
Councillors, Hillingdon Cycle Instructors, Hillingdon Cycle Rangers and
residents have been in touch with ideas which Officers have considered
within the bids and going forward.
