Dear Martin Henson

Please find below a response to your request for information received on
28 October.

The grants issued during Covid were paid from funding allocated by the
central government. The businesses applied by showing that they had fixed
costs and a reduced income as a direct impact of government restrictions
during the Covid pandemic. The funding was given in order to cover running
costs during this time. There is no requirement for the business to repay
these amounts.
