Covid-19 Vaccines - out of area

The request was successful.

Dear East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust,

Please advise how many 'friends and family' of staff working at the Trust - ie those that were not on the official list - and the ages of those people (or brackets according to the Government groups) have been vaccinated from the start of vaccinations through to today's date - 26th February 2021.

Please also advise how many people were temporarily registered at a GP within the catchment area - ie who did not live here permanently.

Please also advise what checks were made to ensure they actually were living in the area and not just registered to obtain an earlier vaccination than would normally have been granted.
Please also advise their ages and or groups as per the Government groups.

Yours faithfully,

A Blythe

East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust was one of the first 50
hospital hubs set up to deliver the COVID-19 vaccine. We have two
vaccination centres, one at Colchester Hospital and one at Ipswich
Hospital. We have been given clear guidance about the groups of people we
should vaccinate. We began by vaccinating people over 80, before
vaccinating NHS, social care, and care home staff. We have also vaccinated
clinically extremely vulnerable patients and volunteers working in health
care settings. We have not vaccinated any family members of NHS staff or
any friends of NHS staff.
