Covid-19 in Prisons
Dear Ministry of Justice,
Dear Ministry of Justice, can you please provide me with the following information in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act 2000.
1. Can you please tell me how many cases of Covid-19 there have been in each prison in England and Wales as of 28 February 2021.
2. Can you please tell me how many Covid-19 related deaths there have been in each prison in England and Wales as of 28 February 2021.
3. Can the information provided in response to (1) and (2) include a breakdown for (i) prisoners and (ii) staff.
Although the Ministry of Justice does publish information on the number of Covid-19 cases and Covid-19 related deaths in England and Wales (https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics...), these data do not include a breakdown by establishment. (1) and (2) is a request for this information broken down by each prison across England and Wales. This information has previously been made available in response to written parliamentary questions (https://questions-statements.parliament.... 06-30/66950)
See FOI Reference: 210201004 for a previous response to this request.
Yours faithfully,
Robert Jones
