What information have you got on why all of the different coronaviruses deaths have been called covid19 deaths

What information have you got on why the common flu which is a member coronavirus family is being called covid19

I refer to your request below. I apologise for not getting back to you
sooner, but as you can appreciate due to the current unprecedented
situation with the Covid-19 virus pandemic and the enormous amount of
correspondence that we have received, we are not able to respond to
requests as soon as we would like.

 

Unfortunately, having spoken to a number of business areas throughout the
Department it would appear that we do not hold the information to answer
your enquiry.

 

However I have been advised that you should contact the Public Health
Agency (PHA) who may be able to help you. I attach a link to their website
[1]here.
