Covenants on Marple Rec ?

We're waiting for Neil Corrie to read a recent response and update the status.

Dear Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council,

I am writing to request information from you under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act.

Please could you give me the entire history and precise wording of covenant alterations, partial or otherwise concerning the recreational ground at Oldknow Road in Marple (SK6 7BX).

Dear Mr Corrie,

 

I am writing in response to your request for information (ref FOI 8924)
regarding Covenants on Marple Rec ?

 

The information has been prepared by the relevant Council service and is
as follows:

 

Further to your request under FOI please find set out below details of the
covenants contained in the Council’s title deeds and to ensure there are
no errors in the typing of the same for your convenience we have
inserted extracts from the relevant  documents listed below. Appendix 2 is
a little difficult to read, the original is not a clear document, if
you require a further copy please let us know.

 

By virtue of a Conveyance dated 5^th February 1909 made between Frederic
Charles Arkwright (1) and Walter Bright Hodgkinson (2) a plot of land was
conveyed to Walter Bright Hodgkinson, an extract of that Conveyance
specifying the covenants contained therein is annexed as Appendix 1 (the
land is shown coloured blue on the plan in Appendix 4).

 

By virtue of a Deed of Gift dated 1^st March 1909 made between Walter
Bright Hodgkinson (1) and The Marple Urban District Council (2) an extract
of that Deed specifying the covenants contained therein is annexed as
Appendix 2 (the land is shown coloured blue on the plan in Appendix 4).

 

By virtue of a Conveyance  dated 24^th June 1924 made between Richard
Alleyne Arkwright (1) and Alfred Henry Magson (2) a plot of land was
conveyed to Alfred Henry Magson, an extract of that Conveyance specifying
the covenants contained therein is annexed as Appendix 3 (the land is
shown coloured pink on the plan in Appendix 4).

 

The Blue and the Pink land shown in Appendix 4 make up the extent of the
Council’s title.

 

The Council’s title is registered freehold under title number MAN22203, a
set of office copies entries in relation to the Council’s title is annexed
at Appendix 4.

 

By virtue of a Deed of Easement dated 6^th April 1989 made between The
Metropolitan Borough Council of Stockport (1) and British Gas PLC (2) the
Council consented to the laying of a gas main approximately 10 diameter.
An extract of that Deed specifying the covenants contained therein is
annexed as Appendix 5 (the route of the pipe passes through the land shown
coloured blue and pink on the plan in Appendix 4).
